Programme – Winter 2010

13^th January 10 – Welcome back boys!! – Games Night.

20^th January 10 – Week 1 of our “Global” Challenge Badge. Learn about different International charities that help around the world. Six’s to pick their country to learn about their traditions, food, religion etc.

Please can the boys bring in tin cans, papers, cereal boxes etc as part of their Global Challenge Badge. We will recycle the items after our recycling games night later on in the term. Items can be brought in every week providing we are in the hall.

27^th January 10 – Week 2 of our “Global” Challenge Badge. Each six to present their findings of their chosen country. We may even try out some of the foods from that country.

3^rd February 10 –“Emergency First Aid Badge” – Stage 2. We may have a special visitor.....Doris the dummy...

10^th February 10 – Swimming Night @ Harrow Lodge. We’ll be carrying various levels of the swimming badge and start to pick our swimming team for the up & coming district swimming gala.

14^th February 10 - Church Parade – Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee.

17^th February 10 – “Half Term” No Pack Night.

24^th February 10 – “Pancake Night” Yum Yum.

3^rd March 10 – Swimming Night Take 2 @ Harrow Lodge. Finish off any outstanding badge work, and pick our swimmers for this weekend’s swimming gala.

6^th March 10 - “District Swimming Gala @ Harrow Lodge” – Details of team and times to follow.

7^th March 10 - “District Chess Competition” – Details to follow. If interested please let one of the leaders know.

10^th March 10 – The Reptile Man will be visiting us at the Hall. Bring £1.00

14^th March 10 - Church Parade – Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee.

17^th March 10 – Start of our Scientist Badge.

24^th March 10 – Finish off our Scientist Badge.

31^st March 10 – Final week of our “Global Challenge Badge”. Recycling Games.

7^th April 10 – Easter Break.

14^th April 10 – Easter Break.

21^st April 10 – Welcome Back Boys! – Games Night.

Unfortunately we will be losing the following Cub to Scouts after the Easter Break.

Notes.

• Subs are now due @ £31.00 per term. Cheques made payable to “3^rd Upminster Scout Group” or ask for a standing order form.
• Church parade is every 2^nd Sunday 9.45 for 10.00 service. Please make every effort to attend. Full Uniform. 1 Hour duration and an offering for the plate.
• If you have any ideas or events for the Cubs please let us know.
• Full uniforms unless otherwise stated. Please be smart.
• If any parent who like to help out for an evening or would like to become a leader, please let us know. It’s not as scary as it looks……Cubs Honour!!!
